If you could rewrite any part of the story what would it be and why? Write a short summary of your book. (where you left off before)

If i could rewrite any part of the story it would be the dance part. Sophie and her mom go to pick out a dress. Sophie's mom picks out a dress that Sophie doesn't like. Well they end up getting this dress anyway. Sophie and her friends go out and buy the dress that Sophie really loved. Well the night of the dance she wore the dress that her mother bought for her to her friends house. Than when her mom left from dropping her off she went inside and changed into the dress that she bought herself. Well during the prom Sophie saw this guy, and he came up to her and asked her to dance. The only bad thing was that this guy was in a mask and didn't saw who he was. Well when she left the dance she called her mom, her mom came and got her. She totally forgot that she was wearing the dress that she bought. Her mother got so mad that her mom locked herself into the basement. Sophie still was looking for the guy in the mask.

The way that I would change this is I wouldn't have Sophie's mom buy the dress that Sophie hates. I would have let Sophie pick out her own dress, because if Sophie would have been able to pick out her own dress she wouldn't have hurt her mothers feelings. I would also have the guy in the mask introduce himself after Sophie and him danced together, so Sophie wouldn't have to go crazy looking for him.

It is Christmas time, and everybody is going out of town to see family. Well everybody but Sophie and her family. Well one morning Sophie woke up and decided since she can't leave the state she will just give herself a tour of the city. Sophie had told her mother about this, and her mother said that it was a great idea. Sophie was kinda of hoping that her mother would ask to go with her, but than again she really didn't want her mother to go. Well what her mother had say was to be home before dark. The First place she went was Breakfast at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. She ordered her food and the lady looked at her weird and said would that be all. The lady later came and gave her the bill, Sophie paid it and left. The second place she went was Shopping in Filine's Bargain Basement. She bought some stuff from there without her mother. Sophie paid for her stuff and left. The third place she went to was the Museum of Fine Arts. She went up to see her favorite painting Le Bal a Bougival. She sat down on the oak bench, gazed up and looked at the life-sized dancing couple. When she saw that picture she remembered that night that her and the guy in the mask danced. She still didn't know who it was.

What My Mother Doesn't Know
By: Sonya Sones

Give a physical description as well as a description of each character's personality. Does the author use a direct or indirect method of revealing the character?

In the book the main character is Sophie. Sophie has a bunch of nicknames giving to her by her friends and family. Sophie has a crush on Dylan and he calls her Sapphire and the meaning behind that is her eyes. Sophie describes herself as huge old, mousy brown, and terminally sluggy. The author is using direct method, because Sonya just goes out and says things about the main character. Dylan is another person in this book. Sophie met Dylan after Zak's party. Sophie had to sit in Dylan's lap, because there wasn't anymore room. Every since then they have been like dating.
